Wishing All a Merry Christmas & Happy New
Year 2009! 2008 has been a roller coaster year with
numerous ups and downs on the economic front. The ride through 2009
may be worse and many economies & businesses may struggle. However,
we hope that with a concerted effort of major economic powers like
US, Europe and China, we can have a smoother and less painful ride.
We at LOH EBEN ONG & PARTNERS wish all a Happy and Prosperous New
Year. (30 December 2008)
New Chapter in US History? Our
Heartiest Congratulations to Senator Barrack Obama for being elected
as USA's 44th President, a historic moment. With the never-ending
news of global financial crisis, and the impending global recession,
we hope that the President-Elect Obama can bring change and hope to
all of us, and stimulate growth in USA and elsewhere. (6 November

World in Crisis. October 2008 is
possibly the worst month of the year in financial terms, where
stocks and shares throughout the world got battered, and sea of red
runs through all major stock exchanges for days in a row. In times
like this, strong leadership from USA is necessary, and we hope that
the voters in US will make the right choice when they vote on 4
November 2008. (3 November 2008)
A Possible Bailout of US Financial
Market? The World is watching whether the proposed
bailout will be put into plan by next week. If there is a
rescue package, will it alleviate USA of a possible economic
depression. A US depression will have a ripple effect throughout the
world. In the internet age, where news and information travel in the
speed of light, we are an inter-connected world. (26 August 2008)
US Financial Turmoil - a
Troubled 2008 - with depressing news of US Financial turmoil, such
as the collapse of Lehman Bros Investment Bank and the struggling
AIG, are we seeing the mid of the financial crisis or the end of it
or just the beginning. It is anyone's guess on the health of
Singapore's economy as Wall Street is going through a huge storm,
like Hurricane Ike that just swept across Texas. The question on
most people's mind: "Who's next?" (18 September 2008)

Election to be held this year, we hope these events will boost the
world economy somewhat. We wish all our visitors a very Happy New

prosperous year for you. We take this opportunity to thank all our
